So, any advice here would be greatly appreciated. I haven't opened it up yet but will do that to see if I can find anything. With other laptops I have found that pushing certain keys will reset the monitor and or test it? Having all sleep and hibernation fully off (whether on battery or charging). Ive tested all different kind of power settings. We end up having to hold down the power button until Its fully powered off (youll know once the keyboard lights go off) and turn back on.

I am wondering if there is any kind of fix that the link may have missed? Are there any keys to be pushed or combination of that would reset the screen so that it would work again? No CTRL ALT DEL or anything will get the display back. $60 is kind of expensive for this old of a pc. The only screen replacement specifically for this pc I found on Newegg here: This post says that the screen is broke and should be replaced. Just that, I have a HP Pavilion dv6-7043cl Entertainment PC with the screen backlight on but no picture? Could be the f4 button or a button with two monitors on it, for the external monitor to work. NOTE: You may have to press an 'external monitor' button. Connect an external monitor to the laptop.
